Character Education Trust in England is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations across both schools. You will help ensure processes are accurate, compliant with policies and regulations, and efficiently executed.

Key tasks include handling purchase orders and invoices, maintaining records, assisting with budget monitoring, reconciling accounts, and contributing to financial reporting.

Working closely as part of the Trust’s finance team, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations across both schools, ensuring that financial processes are accurate, efficient and compliant with Trust policies and relevant financial regulations.

Key responsibilities will include processing purchase orders and invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with budget monitoring, reconciling accounts, supporting financial reporting and responding to finance-related queries from colleagues and external suppliers.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach. The ability to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality and build positive working relationships is essential.

Previous experience in a finance or administrative role would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from individuals with strong numerical skills, a willingness to learn and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service.
