We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Fellow (ST5+) to join our team based across both St Bartholomew's Hospital and University College London Hospital.

Main duties of the job

These posts provide exposure to a wide variety of cardiovascular conditions and are suitable for those with a good grounding in general cardiology who wish to gain experience in advanced imaging/specialised cardiology. The Barts imaging/specialised clinical fellow post has a track record of successfully transitioning many fellows into cardiology consultant posts across the UK and internationally

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • The applicant must have achieved a primary medical qualification as recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Current Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • MRCP UK (or Equivalent)
  • Certification/accreditation in cardiac imaging (any modality)/inherited cardiac disease/cardio-oncology /heart failure
  • Current ALS certification
Experience
  • Experience in general cardiology at ST3+ level (e.g. independent in transthoracic echocardiography, comfortable in managing acutely unwell cardiology patients on the wards)
  • Previous experience in advanced cardiac imaging
Knowledge
  • The applicant must be familiar with and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the major principles of the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2006)
Skills
