Overview

Applications are invited for the post of FY1 in Colorectal Surgery. The post is for 4 months. Location: Whipps Cross Hospital. Dates: 3 December 2025 to 31 March 2026.

The post is not approved for basic or higher surgical training but will provide ample training opportunities and will suit a trainee committed to a Surgical career or seeking additional experience in Colorectal Surgery. Previous NHS experience is essential for this role. There is also scope for training and working closely with the General Surgery team including clinic and theatre and on-calls.

Responsibilities
  • Work in the capacity of an FY1 to one of the consultants within the Colorectal Surgery Unit.
  • Be responsible for both inpatient elective and emergency work.
  • Support the surgical team whilst on call.
