University Hospital Sussex NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the position of Trust Doctor in the Department of Medicine at our St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, and Worthing Hospital, Worthing.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in General and Elderly Medicine, working alongside dedicated clinicians. The role involves rotating through various departments, allowing you to customize your experience to your career goals. Our hospitals are located along the scenic Sussex coastline, providing a balanced environment for professional growth and personal leisure.

Person Specification
Experience / Qualifications
  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  • Advanced Life Support Certificate from Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent
Clinical Skills and Experience
  • Completion of F1/F2 competencies or equivalent
  • Experience in a UKFPO-affiliated foundation programme or 12 months' post-GMC registration
  • 4-12 months' experience in medical specialties as per JRCPTB standards by appointment
  • Ability to manage acutely ill patients initially
Organisation and Planning
  • Experience working in multi-professional teams
  • Understanding of NHS, clinical governance, and resource constraints
  • Evidence of managerial skills, such as courses attended or achievements
Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This role requires a DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.

Salary: £41,750 to £54,468 per annum, pro-rata.
