A leading educational trust in Nottingham is seeking a contract manager to oversee key supplier contracts and ensure they deliver high-quality service. Applicants should have strong contract management experience, excellent commercial awareness, and the ability to influence stakeholders. This role offers opportunities for professional development and supports a commitment to compliance and sustainable practices.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a position that will have a real and measurable impact across our Trust. With 38 academies and a diverse range of strategically important contracts — from broadband provision to grounds maintenance — no two days will be the same.
You’ll take the lead on managing key supplier contracts across the Trust, ensuring they deliver value for money and high-quality service. Working closely with internal teams and suppliers, you will be responsible for maintaining the Trust’s Contracts Register and overseeing the full lifecycle of our commercial arrangements. You’ll support and challenge suppliers to achieve performance targets and drive efficiencies, all while embedding best practices and the latest market thinking into our contract management processes.
We’re looking for someone with strong contract management experience and excellent commercial awareness. Experience of procurement within the IT industry is desired but not essential. You’ll have a proven ability to interpret complex contracts, influence stakeholders at all levels, and ensure suppliers deliver in line with agreed terms. You’ll need to be highly organised, solutions-focused and confident working independently and collaboratively.
Public sector or education specific experience isn’t essential – what matters most is your ability to deliver results, drive improvements, and ensure we get the best from our supplier relationships. A commitment to compliance, sustainability and value for money will be key to your success.
Join a supportive and forward-thinking Trust where your expertise will help shape smarter, more efficient ways of working and help us build even stronger foundations for our academies.
