A family based haulage company in Slough is looking for a LGV driver to become part of our team. Crane experience is preferred although not essential. Usual week is Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm, some flexible working may be required.

The main jobs we do are container and cabins, but will also haul anything we can pick up with a crane.

The salary range will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate LGV vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
• Ensure timely delivery while adhering to traffic regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload cargo, including flatbed deliveries, while securing items properly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.

Qualifications

• ALLMI Licence preferred, not essential
• Valid LGV Licence
• Proven experience as a delivery driver
• Ability to operate flatbed vehicles
• Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to handle and transport goods safely and efficiently

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £36,088.00-£37,899.00 per year
