Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Co-ordinator to join our Highways & Complete Streets team. The role focuses on coordinating TROs across the UK, including major projects in Birmingham and other cities, working with local authorities and clients.

You will manage the TRO lifecycle from proposal to completion, liaise with engineers, planners and legal teams, and prepare professional reports and documentation. Hybrid work options available in a busy transportation environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience preparing and progressing TROs.
• Understanding of statutory TRO processes and consultation requirements.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the full TRO lifecycle from proposal through consultation and completion.
• Review information from engineers, planners and stakeholders.
• Interpret highway drawings, plans and maps to support TRO proposals.
• Coordinate consultation and liaise with Legal Services and statutory stakeholders.
• Liaise with local authorities, engineers, legal teams and the public.
• Prepare clear reports, correspondence and responses to enquiries.
• Maintain TRO records, databases and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and coordinate TRO documentation, notices and information.
• Support TRO meetings, consultations and stakeholder engagement.
