Job summary

Adler and Allan seeks a Trenchless Operations Manager to lead safe, efficient trenchless delivery across our projects. You will steer teams, subcontractors and resources to meet programme, quality and financial goals while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

You will drive continuous improvement, promote accountability, and report to the Head of Trenchless, shaping a high-performance culture across the business.

Qualifications

• Significant trenchless/CIPP project experience.
• Proactive Parcels management experience.
• Computer literate with basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Lead all trenchless operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.
• Manage operational teams, supervisors and subcontractors to meet programme, quality and financial targets.
• Allocate labour, plant, materials and subcontract resources to maximise productivity.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure work meets specifications and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with other service line managers for integrated delivery.

Job description

The Trenchless Operations Manageris responsible forthe safe,efficientand high-quality delivery of trenchless activities across PSS operations. The role ensures projects are delivered in line withprogrammedrequirements, customer expectations, qualitystandardsand financial targets whilemaintainingfull compliance with health,safetyand environmental legislation.

The role provides leadership to operational teams, supervisors and subcontractors, drives continuous improvement in productivity and performance, and promotes a culture of safety,accountabilityand excellence.

The role reports to the Head of Trenchless

Operational Management

• Lead all trenchless operations activities to ensure safe,compliantand efficient project delivery.
• Manage operational teams, supervisors and subcontractors to achieveprogramme, quality and financial objectives.
• Allocatelabour, plant,materialsand subcontract resources effectively tomaximiseproductivity.
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions whererequired.
• Ensure work is delivered to agreed specifications, standards and customer requirements.
• Work closely with other Service Line Managers and support functions to ensure integrated delivery across the business.

Leadership and People Management

• Lead,motivateand develop operational teams to achievehigh levelsof performance and engagement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and development discussions with direct reports.
• Promote a positive culture aligned with company values andbehaviours.

Commercial Management

• Manage operational budgets and support achievement of financial performance targets.
• Monitor project costs,productivityand resourceutilisation.
• Work alongside commercial teams tomaximiseoperational efficiency and profitability.

Health, Safety, Environment and Quality

• Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and support continuous improvement in health,safetyand environmental performance.
• Ensure accidents, incidents, near misses and service strikes are reported, investigated andappropriate actionsimplemented.

Qualifications

• Essential:Significant experiencewithin trenchless, CIPP and drainage infrastructure operations; SMSTS certification; NRSWA Supervisor qualification; Full UK drivinglicence.
• Extensive experience in trenchless/CIPP projects and Proactive Parcels management.
• Computer literate, with keyboard skills and experience of word processing and operation and use of spreadsheets.
• Driving Licence (valid for UK) (clean desirable).
• Desirable: Experience managing Proactive Parcelsprogrammes; experience within the UK water industry; NEBOSH or IOSHqualification., EUSR SHEA (Water or other utility), Knowledge of CDM regulations and obligations.
