Job description
Corby

We Are Innovative - that's why we need people like you to help us. People who enjoy finding new ways to solve problems and get things done!

We have an opportunity for an experienced Trenchless Area Manager to join our innovative alliance with Anglian Water.

The Integrated Maintenance and Repair Water Recycling Alliance (IMR WRA) delivers vital services that keep our communities running - maintaining existing assets, undertaking new projects, and safeguarding the future health of our water recycling network. Our work includes planned and emergency sewer schemes, rising mains, SMART technology installations, as well as ongoing maintenance and repair.

The Role

As Trenchless Area Manager, you\'ll play a key role in the successful delivery of trenchless/CIPP projects and proactive parcels, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance are at the forefront of everything we do. You\'ll lead by example, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, whilst supporting your teams to deliver excellence.

Here are some of the activities you\'ll be involved in

  • Leading and overseeing all trenchless/CIPP projects and proactive parcels within your designated area.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, programme teams, and planners to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Working closely with the regional lining planner to align schedules, resources, and targets, while providing technical input and guidance.
  • Developing compliant designs and solutions that meet departmental standards and UK specifications.
  • Ensuring all materials meet compliance requirements and are tested by approved, independent facilities.
  • Fulfilling CDM (Construction Design and Management) obligations, assisting in the preparation of Pre-Construction Information (PCI) and Construction Phase Plans (CPP).
  • Providing hands-on support and guidance to the Trenchless Site Manager to ensure effective delivery of projects.
  • Organising and leading monthly stand-down meetings to share updates, key learnings, and safety communications with your team.

We\'d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate

You're an experienced professional with a strong background in trenchless/CIPP project management and a solid understanding of UK specifications, compliance, and approvals. You\'ll have excellent communication skills, able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and translate complex information clearly.

You'll be proactive, organised, and confident in leading teams to achieve shared goals. A good understanding of CDM regulations and obligations is essential, and certification as a Designer for CDM purposes would be advantageous.

Previous experience in the utilities or water industry, along with a broad understanding of the regulatory and operational environment, would be highly beneficial.
