We are recruiting an experienced Tree Inspector / Arboricultural Surveyor to join a busy environmental services team in Walsall. The role focuses on inspecting and managing a significant tree stock and ensuring trees are managed safely and appropriately.
Key responsibilities include day-to-day inspections, risk-based decision making, maintaining the Tree Inventory, and supporting woodland management plans and funding bids. The position is on-site with roughly 3 days/week on site.

Applicants should have:
Strong practical experience within the arboriculture industry. Experience carrying out tree inspections. Good knowledge of urban forestry and arboricultural practices. Level 3 Tree Inspection Certificate or equivalent. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in arboriculture, grounds maintenance, green spaces or a related environmental discipline. IOSH accreditation or the ability to meet the required standard. Full UK driving licence. Driver CPC. Good Health & Safety knowledge. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to maintain accurate inspection and tree-management records.
The role requires approximately 3 days per week on site, with the selection process conducted via a Teams interview.
