Main Purpose of the Role
Working as an integral part of the London Treaty Team, this role requires the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to incoming requests, managing the demands of both internal and external clients. Prioritisation, attention to detail and organisational skills are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
·Assisting underwriters with the pricing of treaties by checking submissions, formatting and entering data into the rating models/pricing tools;
·Managing the underwriting files, including archiving using Company systems;
·Checking for any wording changes to treaty contracts and filing signed contracts using Company systems;
·Assisting with analysis and research of the portfolio;
·Assisting Account Executives with the management of treaties;
·Post binding administration of treaties;
·Producing post renewal reports;
·Obtaining statistics from Company systems.
Qualifications & Experience
·Proven experience in insurance/underwriting industry; reinsurance experience advantageous;
·Strong attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a sense of timeliness;
·Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities and operate various applications at once;
·Ability to analyse, manipulate and organise complex data;
·Strong mathematical ability;
·Good written and verbal communication skills;
·Ability to work in a team environment. Be easy to approach and able to convey information, ideas and viewpoints in an appropriate manner;
·Self-motivated and a willingness to learn;
·Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
