Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent, part time position of 18.5 hours.

The shift pattern for this position is 3 days over 7

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the ‘Community Treatment and Care’ (CTAC) service within East Renfrewshire HSCP. This is a permanent contract, with a shift pattern of 18.5 hours per week, three days over seven.

The post holder will:

  • Be the clinical lead; accountable for the coordination of activities, rostering and staffing in East Renfrewshire Treatment Rooms, and for CTAC staff based in GP practices.
  • Function as an independent autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience to lead and enable the Treatment Room team, and PCIP staff based in GP practices, to provide a safe, effective and high quality service.
  • Work in partnership with patients, carers, GP practices, and other Primary and Secondary care key stakeholders.

You should have relevant community experience and transferable skills, and will have (or be willing to undertake) further professional development related to the role. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse (Adult) with the NMC, and a Community Practitioner Nurse Prescriber (V150) or a Nurse Independent / Supplementary Prescriber (V300).

You require a minimum of three years post-registration experience.

A current NMC PIN and full driving license/car owner is essential for this post.
