We are currently seeking a Treatment Room Nurse to join our team for 20 hours per week.
As a Treatment Room Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support within our treatment room clinics. Your duties will include managing wound care, administering immunisations, performing diagnostic tests, and supporting a range of minor procedures. You will work closely with GPs, Nursing team, and other staff to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Main duties of the job
- Wound care and dressings, including chronic leg ulcer management
- Immunisations including flu, shingles, travel, and childhood vaccines
- Venepuncture
- ECGs and blood pressure monitoring
- Removal of sutures and clips
- Health promotion and screening activities (NHS health checks)
- Ear irrigation
- Cervical cytology

Location: Asplands and Woburn Medical Centre
Hours: 20 hours per week (may increase to 23 if successful candidate willing to take on the role of research nurse) hours will include 1 x early and 1x late finish to support our enhanced access service which runs 7am 8pm some days.
Salary: Dependent on experience and skill (not on Agenda for Change banding)
Please note some Saturday working will be require with prior notice

- Maintaining clean, well-stocked, and safe treatment rooms
- Accurate documentation of patient care and treatments
- Adherence to infection control and clinical governance policies
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration or newly qualified awaiting PIN
- Experience in a treatment room or primary care setting preferred, but not essential as training and support can be offered
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
