Job summary

BSW Group is recruiting a Treatment Plant Production Operator to join our Carlisle mill's Added Value Department. You will carry out duties across the department, working in a team and alone to meet production targets while upholding safety standards.

Key tasks include operating high-pressure treatment tanks and FLT mobile plant, manual handling of timber, and maintaining quality controls. A driving licence is required and full training will be provided.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Treatment Plant Production Operator to join our team within our Added Value Department at our Carlisle mill. As a Treatment Plant Production Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of duties across the Department, working within a team and individually.

Specifically, some responsibilities of a Treatment Plant Production Operator include:

• Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.
• Operation of high-pressure treatment tanks.
• Operation of FLT mobile plant to load and unload timber.
• Manual handling of timber.
• Working towards set production targets.

Ideally, we're seeking motivated individuals who are quality focused and understand the value of the goods they are producing. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained and quality targets are met with minimum wastage. In addition, you will have:

• Appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
• Good computer, numeracy, and literacy skills.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience using FLT mobile plant vehicles would be advantageous although full training would be given to the right candidate. The successful candidate must hold a full driving licence.
