Job summary

Reap is seeking an Engineering Manager, Treasury to lead the global, asset-agnostic money movement systems. You will own assets and currencies, rails and networks, wallets, and the global ledger, while guiding architecture decisions and cross-functional execution.

You will drive wallet custody integrations, partner with product leadership, and mentor engineers to raise the bar on reliability, observability, and modern fintech practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience in treasuries, ledgers, or FX, with 1–2 years in technical leadership or management roles.
• Strong understanding of crypto wallet architecture — custodial and non-custodial models, key management, signing flows, and production integrations.
• Broad fluency across the finance stack — virtual assets, fiat currencies, blockchains, payment networks, ledgers, and partners.
• Experience building API-driven global financial systems — read specs, evaluate designs, and write precise API requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving with attention to edge cases and robust solutions.
• Breadth across backend systems and a passion for financial infrastructure.
• Strong technical judgment balancing depth and product needs.
• Clear written communication in design docs and specs.
• High collaboration with peers and stakeholders to elevate team quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the Treasury engineering domain — assets, currencies, rails, networks, FX, wallets, and global ledger infrastructure.
• Lead design, development, and operation of core treasury systems with hands-on architectural influence.
• Manage wallet and custody integrations end-to-end from evaluation to production reconciliation.
• Develop deep understanding of Reap's clients, products, and hubs to make well-reasoned technical calls.
• Part of engineering leadership, shaping foundational systems powering global hubs.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, finance, and ops to drive global outcomes.
• Build observable, reliable systems with incident response and continuous improvements.
• Drive AI-native practices and explore AI-assisted capabilities within systems.
