What You'll Do

Are you an experienced treasury professional looking for an opportunity to lead a busy operational treasury function within a large and complex organisation? We're looking for a Treasury Operations Manager to take responsibility for the smooth and effective running of our operational treasury function and play a key role in protecting the financial strength and resilience of Notting Hill Genesis. As a senior member of the Finance team, you'll oversee our day-to-day treasury activity across cash and liquidity, borrowings, banking, reporting, accounting and treasury systems. You'll ensure we have the cash available to meet our commitments, our borrowing obligations are managed effectively and our treasury information remains accurate, timely and well controlled. You'll also lead and develop two Treasury Accountants, creating a high-performing and customer-focused team that provides an excellent service to colleagues and external stakeholders. Working closely with the Head of Treasury, senior Finance colleagues, banks, lenders and other partners, this is an opportunity to combine technical treasury expertise with people leadership, strategic thinking and continuous improvement in an organisation where effective financial management directly supports our ability to deliver for residents.

How You'll Do It

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Treasury function, ensuring a high-quality and responsive service is provided to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage, develop, appraise and performance manage two Treasury Accountants, creating an environment where people are supported and motivated to perform at their best.

  • Work closely with the Head of Treasury to implement the annual treasury plan.

  • Ensure treasury activity operates in accordance with NHG's Treasury Management Policies and established financial controls.

  • Champion a culture of customer focus, accountability and continuous improvement across the Treasury team and wider Finance function.

Borrowings

  • Ensure all contractual requirements within the Group's loan agreements are met.

  • Oversee the accurate and timely payment of capital and interest.

  • Monitor compliance with loan covenants and ensure potential issues are identified and escalated appropriately.

  • Support the effective management of borrowing arrangements and wider treasury risks.

Banking

  • Act as the lead contact for day-to-day banking requirements.

  • Ensure banking platforms, bank mandates and access arrangements are appropriately maintained and controlled.

  • Coordinate KYC requirements and maintain effective relationships with banking partners.

  • Ensure banking arrangements continue to meet the operational needs of the organisation.

Cash & liquidity

  • Lead the preparation and management of cash-flow forecasts across the Group.

  • Prudently manage cash to ensure sufficient liquidity is available to meet daily operational requirements.

  • Oversee the investment of surplus cash with approved counterparties in accordance with Treasury Management Policy.

  • Provide clear insight into current and future liquidity requirements to support effective financial decision-making.

Reporting

  • Lead treasury reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prepare accurate and insightful month end treasury reporting.

  • Coordinate quarterly treasury reports for Board.

  • Lead the preparation of treasury information for quarterly regulatory returns.

  • Provide treasury inputs into forecasts, budgets and long-term business plans.

  • Ensure senior stakeholders receive accurate and timely information about the Group's treasury position, risks and performance.

Accounting

  • Ensure all treasury transactions are accounted for in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Ensure treasury-related codes within SUN, or any successor ERP system, are accurately reconciled.

  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.

  • Work collaboratively with wider Finance teams to support accurate financial reporting.

Treasury Management System

  • Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of information held within the Treasury Management System.

  • Ensure the system accurately reflects the Group's treasury position at all times.

  • Maintain effective controls around data inputs and treasury information.

  • Support improvements to treasury systems, reporting and processes to increase efficiency and strengthen management information.

Continuous improvement

  • Regularly review treasury procedures and documentation to ensure they remain accurate, effective and aligned with best practice.

  • Identify opportunities to improve controls, reporting, systems and ways of working.

  • Help create a progressive treasury environment that combines strong financial governance with excellent customer service.
