Treasury Manager Exceptional Opportunity

RCT, South Wales

Môrwell Talent Solutions is proud to be partnering with a highly respected and forward–thinking organisation based in the RCT area. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Qualified ACA/ACCA Treasury Accountant to join a business with real scale and impact. My client is ideally seeking a permanent candidate, but is open to looking at temporary candidates that are happy to step into the role ASAP whilst they recruit for the position on a permanent basis.

You ll be stepping into a business–critical role at a time of impressive growth, with the division you ll help lead now generating turnover of approximately GBP1.3 billion, having more than doubled in recent years. You ll play a pivotal part in shaping the group s financial strategy and delivering real value through strong treasury governance and insightful decision–making.

Reporting directly to an approachable and well–regarded Financial Controller, you ll work closely with key internal stakeholders and build strong relationships with external financial institutions, including major lenders and leasing providers. You ll bring a strong mix of technical treasury experience, commercial acumen, and the confidence to operate at senior levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the organisation s overall treasury strategy and funding position
  • Develop and maintain short–term cash forecasts and optimise liquidity
  • Oversee and control balance sheet funding activities
  • Manage banking relationships, including account administration and fee negotiations
  • Identify and deliver cost–saving and optimisation initiatives (e.g. lease costs, interest savings)
  • Maintain robust financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Provide accurate treasury reporting, covering cash positions, liquidity, and risk

What We're Looking For

  • We re seeking a high–calibre treasury professional who thrives in a fast–paced, commercially driven environment
  • You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Have strong, demonstrable experience in a dedicated treasury role, having the ACT qualification would be highly advantageous
  • Bring exceptional attention to detail in financial reporting and risk management
  • Previous hedging experience
  • Be a confident communicator able to influence and advise senior executives
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and the ability to drive value through decision–making
  • Be proactive, self–sufficient and capable of taking ownership and leading projects
  • Show ambition and enthusiasm to develop within a business that invests in its people
  • Ideally have experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and advanced Excel/modelling skills
