We are recruiting Treasury & Indirect Tax Officer to support with filing of global Vat returns, liaising with external auditors and governing bodies to manage compliance. The team is spread between Birmingham and London .
Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.
Candidate Overview
We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 2 years previous accounting experience.
- Finance Degree or Finance qualification
- Support the Senior Compliance and Indirect Tax Officer with various duties to include:
- Invoice sampling for multi-national offices.
- Ireland VIES filing.
- VAT year end reconciliations.
- VAT to trial balance reconciliations.
- Non-applicable VAT review.
- Work closely with the Treasury Team to support with reporting of intercompany lending/interest calculations.
- Support with intercompany billing across the various PM entities.
- Process cash collection journals monthly.
- Benefit in Kind weekly filing and review
- Review of the Interpractice and general ledgers accounts
- Preparation of VAT returns ensuring compliance with local and overseas VAT regulations and requirements
- Arrange UK VAT payments on account.
- Liaison with auditors, HMRC and other governing bodies
- Help with the management of cash balances and reporting of these figures.
- Provide assistance for Treasury Manager with ad hoc tasks.
