Job summary

Sonoco is seeking a Treasury Operations professional to verify the accuracy of treasury transactions and control cash movements, settlements, and financing activities. You will review bank confirmations, monitor debt and instrument maturities, and ensure timely processing.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Economics, or related field.
Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous in an international environment.
Experience in treasury operations, accounting, and control environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Verify completeness, accuracy, and validity of treasury transactions.
Control cash movements, payments, receipts, financing, and investment transactions.
Review bank confirmations and settlement documentation.
Monitor debt, deposits, and financial instrument maturities.
Ensure timely settlement of treasury transactions.
Review treasury-related accounting entries and perform daily reconciliations.
Validate interest, bank fees, and financial charges accounting.
Investigate reconciliation breaks and operational discrepancies.
Support SOX and internal control testing; ensure compliance with internal controls.
Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes and support system implementations.
