A local government authority in Haddington is looking for a Treasury Assistant to help provide efficient treasury and banking services. Candidates must hold an SVQ level 2 or equivalent in financial services, with relevant experience. This temporary role offers a flexible working arrangement including home or hybrid options. The position is set to start on September 22, 2025, with a competitive hourly rate.
Hourly rate of pay: £14.65 - £15.75
Temporary maternity cover for 1 year.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00
Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.
To start 22nd September 2025.
Home / Hybrid Working Consideration

Please Note:
All home/hybrid workers must live in the UK. Where an application for home-working is supported, it will be subject to a satisfactory trial period. Employees will be expected to attend Council offices for the duration of induction, and be on site in East Lothian workplaces, as required. Employees with a hybrid working arrangement in place will be office based and able to work from home, with permission, on an ad hoc basis.
To assist in the provision of an efficient treasury and banking service, in accordance with Council policies and procedures and insurers' requirements, to safeguard taxpayer assets and support services to effectively manage their resources.

Relevant Qualifications
The Jobholder must be educated to SVQ level 2 or equivalent level (Highers/NC) in providing financial services or a related subject and relevant experience within a similar environment.
