Job Description:

Position purpose

The treasury analyst will be responsible for supporting the daily FX and IR risk management process at both a trading and corporate level for EDFT and associates.

Main responsibilities

This list is not exhaustive and may include other tasks assigned by the manager.

• Working within the FX and IR treasury team to ensure FX and IR operations, controls and reporting are run efficiently across the global business at both a trading, structural and corporate level.
• Responsibility for the daily / weekly FX Risk reporting, and FX risk analysis of EDFT Limited.
• Responsible for the daily IR risk reporting of EDFT, North America and other associates.
• FX/IR Dealing and trade booking - Spot, Forwards and Swaps.
• Review and management of FX funding / settlement risk.
• Support daily operations of front office and EDFT Associates.
• Perform reconciliation calculations of commodity hedges and FX execution requests.
• Collaborate with treasury members, front office and support functions to add value in the risk management process.
• Support manager with system solutions, technical efficiencies, hedge ideas and new projects
• Adherence to internal policies, processes and methodologies.

Experience required

• 1 - 3 years' experience working within an analytical treasury function, ideally with FX and treasury risk background.
• Good understanding of the FX and IR markets and economics in general.
• FX dealing experience (outrights and swaps) an advantage.
• Good operational experience.
• General commercial and risk management awareness.
• Studying towards CFA, FRM, ACT or Accounting profession would be an advantage.

Technical requirements

• University graduate, prefer some experience in financial analysis
• Good technical, mathematical and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work autonomously but provide good communication/feedback to manager.
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic and able to respond to changes in priorities.
• Knowledge of Treasury systems and Reuters would be an advantage
• Clear communicator who can work well in a team but can also be trusted to operate independently once confidence in the role.
• A proactive 'can do' attitude is important, as is the ability to use initiative to appraise and improve existing processes. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• System skills over and above excel skills an advantage, but desire to learn is key (e.g. Alteryx, VBA, Python, Power BI, etc)
