Treasury Analyst, Professional Services, £50-55,000, Central London

We have a fantastic new role for a Treasury Analyst to join one of our key clients within Professional Services. This role will report to the Head of Treasury and will be the key support with a wide mandate to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of treasury processes & generate treasury insights together that will enable the treasury function to be as value-added as possible

Treasury Analyst – Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Maintenance of all data in the Treasury Management System (TMS)
• Help manage the debt portfolio maturities for group, organising new borrowings or extensions as needed with banks and entering these transactions in the TMS. Our ultimate goal is to try and minimise idle cash around the business.
• Regular monitoring of liquidity levels in our cash pools.
• Draft up and execute new IC loan agreements as needed
• Execute FX trades as needed
• Help subsidiaries with any challenges or queries they may have
• Remind the Treasurer of the many things he has committed to doing but not actually delivered yet.

Structured Number Crunching & Periodic Reporting

• Ensure the optimal processing of all banking information from the previous day in the TMS, including some limited bank balance checks.
• Help maintain the global debt portfolio & banking facilities in the TMS.
• Maintain & monitor the intercompany loan portfolio in the TMS, review & deliver interest accrual reports to all internal counterparties. Arrange new intercompany loans & organise payment as needed.
• Coordinate the cash forecasting process, gather and align and assist in scenario analysis work (currently done in Excel).
• Help improve periodic treasury reporting & provide insights into key issues.
• Supporting with the preparation of the quarterly Business Review Meeting packs to our shareholders
• Quarterly bank reporting obligations
• Monthly Trade Working Capital data analysis using multiple data sources & formats

Support ad-hoc financial analysis requests.

Technical & IT

• Experience working with a TMS (Treasury Management System) is a bonus
• Together with the Treasurer you will work to increase the functionality of the TMS
• Ability to extract, process & manipulate data from multiple sources (from the TMS, from Excel, from various ERP systems) to generate insightful; graphs &diagrams to explain cash & Trade Working Capital (TWC) developments efficiently.
• Develop treasury dashboards for treasury & TWC performance benchmarking.
• Improve & enhance reporting through the TMS, Excel & Power BI amongst others.
