Job description

This is a broad and exciting Treasury Accountant role at the UK’s largest Water and Wastewater Company, where you will gain exposure to our wider business and all elements of treasury.

This role offers an exciting challenge and scope to help shape the future of our Treasury team.

What you’ll be doing as a Treasury Accountant in the Group Treasury team
  • Supporting half-year and year-end processes, including preparation of IFRS financial statements and disclosures for stand-alone and consolidated reports.
  • Preparing regulatory reporting tables.
  • Developing the Group Treasury Annual Budget and Periodic Forecasts, and producing the monthly Treasury reporting pack.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate treasury accounting.
  • Updating and documenting Treasury accounting and reporting processes.
  • Identifying process gaps and implementing improvements.
  • Supporting internal and external audits.
  • Delivering or supporting treasury projects.
  • Collaborating with the Group Financial Accounting team to ensure accurate Treasury data presentation.
  • Working effectively with other finance functions as ‘one team’.

Location: Reading - Hybrid
Working Pattern: 36 Hours

What you should bring to the role
  • Qualified or part-qualified ACCA / ACA with extensive accounting and reporting experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • A good team player.
  • Familiarity with SAP, HFM, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of Treasury Transactions and Treasury Management systems.
