Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
TravelEssence is seeking a Travel Specialist in the UK to turn enquiries into tailor‑made holidays to Australia or New Zealand. You’ll combine sales skills with destination knowledge to create itineraries and guide customers from initial enquiry to booking.
You’ll work remotely with occasional London and Manchester meetings, manage several leads at once, and deliver great customer experiences while hitting commercial targets. Travel industry experience is welcome but not essential.
Share your passion for Australia and New Zealand
As a Travel Specialist at TravelEssence, you’ll combine strong commercial and relationship‑building skills with first‑hand knowledge of Australia or New Zealand. You’ll get to know what each customer is looking for, turn their ideas into a tailor‑made holiday, and guide them from initial enquiry through to booking.
This is a consultative sales role for someone who enjoys building relationships, following up opportunities and turning great customer conversations into bookings.
You’ll work with customers who are already seriously considering a holiday to Australia or New Zealand. Using your listening skills, you’ll find out what they really want from their trip, then draw on your first‑hand destination knowledge to recommend the right routes, stays and experiences while building the trust that gives them confidence to book with you.
From the first conversation through to final booking, you’ll take ownership of both the customer relationship and the commercial opportunity. Some customer appointments, presentations and events take place in the evenings or at weekends, so flexibility is an important part of the role.
No two customers (or holidays) will be quite the same. You'll:
We’re looking for someone who can combine a strong commercial mindset with first‑hand experience in Australia and/or New Zealand.
You’ll enjoy talking enthusiastically about your own travel experiences and using that knowledge to help shape each customer’s tailor‑made trip. You’ll be equally motivated by taking ownership of your own leads and opportunities, confidently following them up and working towards commercial targets.
Travel industry experience is welcome but not essential. We’re equally interested in candidates with strong sales or relationship‑building experience from other sectors.
You’ll also have:
This is a full‑time, remote‑based role in the UK, with plenty of flexibility over where you work. Our London and Manchester offices are available whenever you’d like to use them, with no set number of office days.
Meeting customers face‑to‑face is still an important part of the role, so you’ll need to be able to travel to London and/or Manchester for appointments and occasional meetings. Travel expenses will be covered by TravelEssence.
Some customers may prefer to meet or speak outside normal working hours, and presentations or events can take place in the evenings or at weekends. So you’ll need to be comfortable organising your time around customer demand rather than following a strict 9‑to‑5 routine.
It’s a great company to work for, and we're growing quickly. You get plenty of freedom to work independently, whether that’s from home or meeting customers at the office.
