Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Travel Plan Adviser to lead the development and delivery of travel planning services and collaborate with public and private sector stakeholders. The role supports broader programmes including marketing, air quality and consultations, and aligns with the My Journey Hampshire team.

You will build relationships, deliver travel plans, coordinate initiatives and provide expert advice on sustainable travel while contributing to healthier, greener travel across

Qualifications

• A-Level or equivalent level qualification or experience.
• Understanding of the issues and complexities of travel and transport, and the impact on health, safety, congestion and air quality.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence and build partnerships.
• Experience at the appropriate level in travel planning or related discipline.
• Good presentation skills.
• Knowledge, passion and commitment to promoting sustainable travel and behaviour change.
• A good team player who can work independently and remotely.

As a Travel Plan Adviser, you will lead the development and delivery of travel planning services, building relationships with public and private sector stakeholders to support organisations in achieving their travel planning objectives, while assisting with wider programme activities such as marketing, air quality and consultations.

As part of the team, you will be directly leading and supporting projects and initiatives that align with these important objectives, helping the Council deliver its commitment to sustainable transport and climate goals.
