Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Travel Plan Adviser to join the My Journey Hampshire team in Winchester. The role focuses on developing and delivering travel planning services, engaging with public and private sector stakeholders to promote sustainable travel and reduce congestion.

You will lead travel planning projects, provide expert advice on low-carbon transport, and support wider programme activities such as air quality and consultations.

Qualifications

A-Level or equivalent qualification or experience.
Knowledge of travel and transport issues and their health, congestion and air quality impacts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to influence and build partnerships.
Experience in travel planning or related discipline.
Demonstrated knowledge and passion for promoting sustainable travel.

Responsibilities

Develop, write and deliver high-quality travel plans
Lead stakeholder engagement and consultations
Support delivery of travel planning programmes
Coordinate My Journey initiatives
Provide expert advice on sustainable travel
Prepare reports, presentations and technical documentation
Allocate tasks to junior team members whilst managing workloads effectively
