Birmingham City Council is looking for a Travel Operations Officer on a fixed-term contract until 29.06.2026. The role entails managing transport solutions for children and young people, including route planning and compliance. Grade 3 - £26,409 - £32,654 *(consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review)

Working 36.50 hours per week
Work base - Birmingham and hybrid working with travel across Birmingham
The Children and Young Peoples’ Travel Service (CYPTS) provide transport solutions helping over 6,000 children and young people to attend education.
As a Travel Operations Officer, you will undertake route planning and daily route management with a daily overview of 1000 routes operating across the city of Birmingham.You will also support contract management, data management and compliance.
The role will offer hybrid working with travel across Birmingham.As a Travel Operations Officer there will be a requirement to travel to school sites, transport operator sites and travelling on school routes where required.
This is a fixed term contract. End date 26/06/2026
