Job description

We are seeking a Travel Consultant to work remotely for a company based in Glasgow.

Salary & Terms

  • Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • Salary between £26,000 - £28,000 plus commisions.
  • Work from home

Role & Responsibilities

  • Create tailor-made travel itineraries and packages for clients, ensuring a high level of personalization and attention to detail.
  • Understand clients' travel preferences, interests, and budgets to provide customized travel solutions that exceed their expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with luxury travel suppliers, including hotels, resorts, tour operators, and airlines, to negotiate preferred rates and exclusive amenities for clients.
  • Assist clients with all aspects of their travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, activities, dining reservations, and special requests.
  • Handle client inquiries promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service throughout the entire travel planning process.
  • Stay informed about travel regulations, visa requirements, and health and safety guidelines for various luxury destinations, ensuring clients have accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with other team members to share knowledge, best practices, and insights, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, itineraries, and financial transactions in our CRM system.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals, actively promoting additional services and upgrades to enhance the client's luxury travel experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex travel information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in using travel reservation systems and technology, along with a good understanding of online research tools and resources.
