Job description

Reed FE are working with a College in Cambridge and are seeking a Travel and Business Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching on BTEC courses related to travel and business. This role is ideal for candidates who have a strong background in teaching BTEC courses and are passionate about providing students with the knowledge and skills needed for success in these industries.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures and seminars in travel and business subjects as part of BTEC courses.
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards and the needs of students at different learning levels.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, offering feedback and advice to help them achieve their academic and career goals.
  • Stay updated with developments in the travel and business sectors to ensure teaching content is relevant and current.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of teaching strategies and course offerings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience teaching BTEC courses in travel, business, or related subjects.
  • Strong understanding of the curriculum and standards required for BTEC qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Ability to plan, organise, and manage own workload effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement in teaching practices.
