A transportation coordination company in East Edinburgh is seeking a Travel Advisor/Transport Dispatcher. You will be responsible for scheduling daily transport, dispatching vehicles, and coordinating with various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and a customer-focused approach. This office-based role offers £15.53 per hour for 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dispatch, transport coordination, or scheduling is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident with technology (Word, Excel, booking/scheduling systems).

Job Title: Travel Advisor / Transport Dispatcher

Location: East Edinburgh (Office-Based Only)

Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing

Rate of Pay: £15.53 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week

What You’ll Do

Much like a taxi dispatcher, you’ll be at the heart of operations, making sure the right passengers get the right transport at the right time:

  • Book and schedule daily transport using specialist software.
  • Dispatch vehicles, allocate routes, and balance efficiency with passenger needs.
  • Work closely with schools, health and social care teams, and contractors to coordinate travel.
  • Handle calls, queries, and last-minute changes with confidence.
  • Support admin tasks including invoices, orders, and data records.
