Job description

Do you have up to 3 years experience tailor making holidays to South and/or Southeast Asia?

We are working with a niche company who are looking for someone to join their team, someone who has a real passion for this part of the world.

JOB PURPOSE

Help customers have a genuine travel experience as part of their holidays in South and Southeast Asia.

MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working within an experienced Travel Team to provide top-class service that builds upon clients' understanding of their needs.
  • Use the framework of the sales process to create an adventure, communicate the value, build excitement, and provide reflection. You will be expected to meet top-level (challenging) booking targets while receiving excellent customer satisfaction scores & developing long-term relationships that ensure clients return for future holidays and generate referrals.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the rest of the Travel Team to improve the service provided.
  • Help the Product Team to improve the holiday 'product' provided.
  • Support the marketing teams to produce content.
  • Build relationships with our Travel Agent partners.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A passion for, and strong knowledge of, South and South East Asia - Japan would be a bonus.
  • Relevant travel industry sales experience, ideally with 2-3 years of selling holidays to South and/or South East Asia.
  • A desire to focus on sales within your medium-term career progression.
  • Natural communication skills, with an ability to build relationships.
  • Excellent telephone communication skills.
  • A customer-focused approach.
  • A positive and energetic outlook, with a willingness to put yourself out of your comfort zone.
  • Good organisation skills.
  • Good general literacy.
  • A desire to learn and be proactive in doing so.
  • A passion for providing something extraordinary.

TRAINING THAT WILL BE GIVEN:

  • The job will start with a month's intensive training, focusing on the company sales process and helping our customers push their comfort zones and have a holiday adventure.

THE PACKAGE:

Salary will depend on the level of experience but will fall within the below range:

£33-40k + up to £4.2k Team Bonus

  • One two-week familiarisation trip per year.
  • Annual personal flight allowance to one of our destinations.
  • 23 days holiday each full calendar year, in addition to the usual statutory holidays.
  • A day off for your birthday.
  • Pension Contribution of 3%.

WORK HOURS:

9-5.30 Monday to Friday, with the following stipulations:

  • Work one Saturday in eight with a weekday off in lieu.
  • Hybrid - 4 Days office, 1 day wfh.
