A reputable law firm in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a part-time Travel Advisor. In this role, you will manage travel bookings for employees and handle various administrative tasks within a supportive team. Ideal candidates will have experience in customer service and strong IT skills, and will be part of a dynamic finance department. The firm offers a competitive salary and a flexible benefits package.
We are looking for a Travel Advisor to join our team in Newcastle, on a part-time basis. The role is 21 hours per week, over 3 days. We do require somebody who is available on a Monday, but we can be flexible on the other 2 days worked.
In this busy and varied role, you will be involved in a broad range of tasks, from booking internal employees' travel, to dealing with any complaints or issues that may arise when employees are travelling on business. Sitting within Womble Bond Dickinson's finance department, you will report to the Travel Supervisor whilst working alongside our small travel team who manage all travel requirements for the firm.
The role will involve looking after employees' travel needs from first enquiry to the completion of travel. You will be dealing with a range of bookings from hotel reservations, to rail and flights. In the role, you will be required to determine our employees' travel needs and advise them as appropriate on destinations, modes of transportations, travel dates, costs, and accommodations, helping build complex and personalised travel itineraries.
Your days will be spent supporting the wider team, managing our inbox, dealing with invoices and queries, and liaising with internal stakeholders. Find out more about our Responsible Business initiatives here, including our net zero goals, local community engagement, and social inclusion.
To be successful in the role, you must have customer service experience in a fast-paced corporate environment and ideally have experience in booking travel. Previous experience of working within corporate travel, or experience with fare systems in particular, is desirable. Equally as important are the skills you will bring to the role; strong IT skills are a must, along with a meticulous and detailed approach.
