Job summary

YoungEducation Ltd is recruiting Youth Mentors in Hemel Hempstead to support young people across education, mentoring, and enrichment. You will collect young people from home, transport them safely to educational settings, and stay with them throughout the day to foster transitions into learning.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group work, delivering interest-led activities, and building trust to boost wellbeing, confidence, and motivation. A trauma-informed approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with young people in education, youth mentoring or related fields.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to apply trauma-informed practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with each young person.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport young people to and from provision and support transitions into learning.
• Build trusting relationships and support engagement in education and mentoring.
• Deliver engagement activities that promote wellbeing, confidence, and life skills.
• Maintain accurate records and safeguarding standards while managing behaviour calmly.
