Job summary

Ministry of Justice is seeking a Workplace Wellbeing Co-ordinator to lead the establishment's wellbeing strategy, delivering preventative and responsive interventions and embedding trauma‑informed practices across the estate.

You will coordinate peer support, TRiM and post‑incident care, collect and report data, and maintain strong partnerships with HR, EAP and safeguarding colleagues to support staff wellbeing and organisational culture.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to deliver presentations, training or group facilitation.
• Experience handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to facilitate trauma-informed discussions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to undertake wellbeing, TRiM and peer support training.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, delivery and tracking of the establishment's Wellbeing Strategy and annual Wellbeing Action Plan.
• Provide regular wellbeing insights to the SMT, highlighting risks, trends and preventative actions.
• Work with managers to identify local stressors and contribute to improvement plans.
• Promote inclusive, trauma-informed working practices.
• Lead, coordinate and quality‑assure all peer support programmes.
• Coordinate recruitment, vetting, training and CPD for peer supporters.
• Provide or coordinate regular reflective practice and skills refresh opportunities for peer support volunteers.
• Maintain records of peer support activity in line with data protection requirements.
• Act as the local point of contact for regional/national peer support governance.
• Coordinate post-incident support pathways and TRiM assessments.
• Deliver hot debriefs and post-incident care activities.
• Maintain rotas to ensure resilience and continuity.
• Provide trauma awareness advice to managers, HR and incident commanders.
• Deliver Wellbeing Training Interventions and induction for new starters.
• Co-deliver other estate relevant sessions and wellbeing training.
• Provide education on trauma-informed practice and psychological safety.
• Promote external/internal support offers (OH, EAP, Staff Networks, etc).
• Work with HR to advise line managers on attendance management and return-to-work processes.
• Provide wellbeing-centred guidance to newly promoted managers.
