Job summary

Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is seeking a Part Time Residential Child Care Practitioner for Cartref Mynydd Children's Home in Wattstown. The role supports children and young people with complex needs in a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment.

Shifts include early and late slots, with sleep-in duties; candidates should be registered with Social Care Wales or working towards the Level 3 Diploma and be prepared for local authority placements across homes.

Qualifications

• QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or NVQ Level 3 (Children and Young People).
• Registered with Social Care Wales.
• Willing to work shifts including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, physical and personal care to children and young people.
• Engage with and support children and young people in a therapeutic setting.
• Work as part of a team led by Registered Manager and Senior staff.
• Support families and professionals to ensure personalised care and positive outcomes.
