Job summary

Cambian Group plc is seeking an Assistant Mental Health Practitioner to support our Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) service across Shropshire. The role involves coordinating information, delivering psycho-educational interventions and supporting residential and education teams, under supervision by a Clinical Professional.

The post offers full-time hours (40 per week) with DBS checks and training opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience working with children/young people.
Psychology degree or related qualification (e.g. counselling, child development).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of psychometrics and data gathering.
Understanding of trauma-informed practices and attachment-based approaches (e.g. PACE).
Compassionate approach to engaging teens.
Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

Co-ordinate information and write assessment reports under supervision, including analysis of psychometric data.
Develop and deliver psycho-educational interventions to young people.
Develop and deliver training to residential and education staff teams.
Support professionals with consultations/meetings, including information gathering and note-taking.
Contribute to literature reviews to inform practice.
