Job summary

Horizons Academy Bexley is seeking a Learning Support Mentor to support pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning difficulties. You will work with teaching staff to tailor support, promote academic progress, emotional wellbeing and personal development, helping students regulate emotions, build resilience and make positive choices.

You will uphold high standards of behaviour and form positive relationships with pupils and families.

Qualifications

• Caring and resilient individuals with strong motivation to support vulnerable learners.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with pupils, families, colleagues and external professionals.
• Ability to build positive relationships quickly using a trauma-informed approach.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support that promotes academic progress, emotional wellbeing and personal development.
