Job summary

St Bartholomew's CE Multi Academy Trust is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join Christ Church CE Primary School. The HLTA will provide PPA cover, support pupils with a trauma-informed approach and contribute to a safe, nurturing learning environment.

The role is 32.5 hours per week, term time only, with a Grade 5 Spine Point 12-16 range (£31,015–£34,811) or Actual Salary (£23,433–£26,301). Closing date Friday 2 October 2026; visits to the school are welcome.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide PPA cover; initial illness cover (3 days) and small group interventions.
• Work as an integral part of the school team with CPD opportunities.
• Support a trauma-informed, safe learning environment for all pupils.
