Job summary

Juno Women’s Aid, based in Nottingham, is seeking a dedicated Family Support and Safeguarding Worker to provide trauma-informed, needs-led support to women and children affected by domestic abuse. You will collaborate with Children’s Social Care and Child Protection Teams to help families recover, build resilience, and access necessary services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist support and domestic abuse awareness interventions for women and children subject to Child Protection Plans.
• Work alongside Social Workers within Child Protection Teams where domestic abuse has been identified as a presenting concern.
• Develop and deliver individual and family support plans tailored to the needs of each family.
• Assess support needs and facilitate access to community services, helping improve children’s health, wellbeing, educational engagement, and participation in social and leisure opportunities.
• Support women to understand the impact of domestic abuse on their children and strengthen parent-child relationships.
• Build positive partnerships with statutory and community organisations to ensure coordinated support for families.
