Stop Domestic Abuse in Winchester is seeking a dedicated advocate to support adults affected by domestic abuse. The role focuses on providing telephone and face-to-face advice, coordinating group work, and ensuring access to information and temporary accommodation for survivors and their children.

You will work with colleagues and partner agencies to raise awareness, maintain safe accommodation, and keep the refuge running smoothly day-to-day, with health and safety standards at the forefront.

Formación

• Provide advice by telephone and face to face to assist victims/survivors experiencing domestic violence to understand the services available and make choices about their own future.
• To provide group work for residents, former residents and women living in the community to provide them with ongoing advice and support and to enable them to establish and maintain contact with other women who have survived domestic violence.
• To ensure that a high standard of information, advice and temporary accommodation is provided for women and their children who have suffered mental or physical abuse.
• To ensure the smooth running of the refuge on a day-to-day basis including ensuring the building is maintained in good order and meets the requirements of health and safety.
