Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) is seeking a Band 7 Psychologist to join the therapies team at Northwick Park Hospital. The role focuses on specialist psychological assessment and brief interventions for adults on inpatient wards and through Home Treatment Team and CMHH collaboration.

You will contribute to trauma-informed practices and lead on consultation, supervision and service development while working within a supportive MDT environment.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration.
• Experience or training in trauma-informed approaches is desirable but not required.
• Excellent knowledge of psychological assessment and clinical psychometrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations and brief interventions for inpatients and crisis services.
• Assess and monitor risk and develop risk management plans.
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate.
• Engage in service evaluation, audits and research.
• Contribute to trauma-informed practice across the pathway with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support training and supervision of colleagues and trainees.
• Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and governance.
