Job summary

Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an EMDR and Complex Trauma Specialist Therapist to work 28 hours per week across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. The role involves direct face-to-face work, remote appointments, and travel within the region.

You will assess, formulate and deliver evidence-based psychological therapies for adults affected by trauma, including PTSD and Complex PTSD, using EMDR and other NICE-recommended approaches.

Qualifications

• Assess, formulate and deliver high quality psychological therapies for adults experiencing trauma.
• Provide trauma-focused interventions such as EMDR and NICE-recommended approaches.
• Gather outcome data and contribute to audits within the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist EMDR and Complex Trauma therapies face-to-face, in Severnfields or other environments, or at clients' homes as needed.
• Conduct psychological interviews, administer self-report measures and psychometrics, and interpret data for feedback.
• Perform risk assessment and management with high professional judgement.
• Produce assessment reports for referrers in line with professional ethics.
• Deliver formulations and treatments for PTSD and C-PTSD to service users with complex distress.
