Transport Business Manager

Salary: £30ph

Location: Greater Manchester area

Contract: 3-month temporary (likely to be extended) to start ASAP

Grafton Recruitment is actively recruiting an experienced Transport Business Manager to join our client team based in the Greater Manchester area. The successful candidate will oversee various aspects of site operations, including financial management, business development, strategic planning, and team management.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliant, efficient, and effective operations.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze reports, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve profitability and meet financial targets.
  • Manage and develop the team, setting performance goals and conducting evaluations.
  • Identify business opportunities, develop strategic plans, and implement initiatives to expand the customer base.
  • Promote a culture of customer excellence.
  • Ensure training and competency checks are in place for all roles.
  • Continuously monitor operational performance and implement best practices.
  • Manage people and assets to exceed service expectations.
  • Deliver efficient and profitable solutions.
  • Drive innovation and change for customers.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, industry partners, and regulatory agencies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Fleet & Transport Management and Operations Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations; IOSH or NEBOSH qualification preferred.
  • Valid CPC Transport Manager Qualification.
  • Financial and business acumen.
  • High initiative and effective communication skills with staff and management.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
