Your Role: Transport Manager

In this dynamic role, you will oversee and manage the transport department for a fast-paced transport business. Your responsibilities include:

• Maintain positive relationships with both internal and external customers
• Reinforcing existing processes and improving overall performance while managing resources and maximising driver efficiency and productivity
• Must manage the team, stay closely involved with the transport operations, and always know what’s happening in the business. Lead, motivate and develop direct reports, identifying training needs to maintain a flexible and multi-skilled workforce
• The role will be responsible for productivity of the drivers, planning of the workload, management of the operations desk and ensuring that internal and external stakeholders’ expectations are met and exceeded

Experience Required:

• Experience of Transport Management in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
• Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of working within a time critical service
• Experience in Construction, Waste Management, or related industries, excelling in small business environments by adapting to diverse roles and responsibilities would be highly advantageous.
• Dynamic and results-oriented, with a strong desire and tenacity to drive performance.
