Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our expanding Rail Systems Engineering team at Telent. You will work within a dedicated team responsible for maintaining the UK-wide rail network, serving clients including Transport for London, Network Rail, and various Train Operating Companies.

Reporting to the Lead Safety and Security Engineer, the Systems Engineer will oversee project upgrade works primarily across Network Rail, TFL, TFGM, and related infrastructure. Your role involves handling all technical aspects of projects, including survey, design, and technical execution of SISS within a rail environment.

Typical Deliverables:
  • Strong experience in system design, survey, and technical engineering within SISS.
  • Leading initiatives for new products or services, including planning and design.
  • Managing projects from initial design through to production and installation.
  • Creating detailed technical plans and using scientific skills to develop practical solutions.
  • Selecting appropriate materials and conducting cost analysis forecasts.
  • Ensuring compliance through technical and regulatory documentation.
  • Overseeing quality control, construction, development, and deployment of systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of your engineering discipline and related areas.
