About the role

Introduction

Where has your journey taken you so far? Play an important part in our journey as Transport Team Manager, working as part of a team responsible for managing operations, compliance, and people. You will lead the team, putting safety at the forefront and working towards shared goals of delivering the best service.

Responsibilities
  • Coaching the team to reach their full potential
  • Communicating openly and consistently, delivering key messages to the team at the right time
  • Managing recruitment, absence, performance, conduct, safety, and service
  • Responsible for managing commercial vehicles, cages, and pallets
  • Managing PPE, vehicle checks, CV servicing, MOTs, VORs, temperature checks, and near misses
  • Allocating work considering individual and team capability and legal driving hours to achieve targets
  • Carrying out good quality investigations
  • Promoting and managing all safety aspects
Requirements
  • Great people manager
  • Ability to drive and motivate a team to work together and achieve goals
  • Great communicator with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Knowledgeable in all things Transport, especially legislation
  • Motivated to meet and exceed KPIs
