Role Overview

Transport Team Manager

• Location: Glasgow (Bellshill ML4)
• Salary: £28,974 Per Annum +20% Shift Allowance for hours worked between 22:00 - 06:00
• Shift Pattern: 5 / 7 days per week with varying shifts including days, nights, and weekends
• Contract Type: Permanent

We're currently looking for a Team Manager to join our friendly Transport Team in Glasgow. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations in our Transport Admin Office, including admin processes, driver schedules, and vehicle management to ensure compliance with driving legislation and timely trailer dispatches.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will support the Transport team to meet delivery schedules. Key responsibilities include:

• Admin support, tracking driver hours and absences, and ensuring adequate coverage.
• Ensuring scheduling compliance.
• Communicating effectively with drivers to provide necessary information for timely departures.
• Maintaining operational and customer service KPIs.

What you need to show us

You should have experience in a similar transport role, preferably in a fast-paced office environment. Organizational skills, attention to detail, workload management, and multitasking abilities are essential. You should be a confident communicator and team player, comfortable working with drivers and managers alike.

Knowledge of driving legislation, operator licensing, and WTD is desirable, as is holding a CPC, but these are not essential.
