Job summary

Sysco Belfast is seeking a Transport Team Lead to manage depot operations, coordinate dispatch, coach delivery staff, and ensure high standards of service and safety. The role involves liaising with sales, transport, and operations to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

You will lead by example, oversee driver performance, and support training and administration tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory role within high-volume, time-sensitive distribution.
• Fluent English reading and writing essential.
• Capable of planning, organizing and directing a team to meet targets.
• Strong numerical/analytical skills to analyse driver performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all depot activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Support dispatch of routes and products to customers daily.
• Coach and motivate delivery team members.
• Analyse driver performance by accompanying them on routes.
• Ensure delivery procedures and policies are followed at all times.
• Liaise with sales, transport and operations to resolve issues promptly.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and safe operation.
• Identify training needs and coordinate delivery of training.
• Maintain premises to high standards; support safety procedures.
• Assist with absence management, investigations and disciplinaries.
• Carry out office admin responsibilities.
