A vacancy has arisen for a Transport Supervisor to work for Bolton Council’s Integrated Transport Team.
Responsible for the day-to-day transportation of pupils with special educational needs to school and adults to Day Care provision, and supervising the department’s vehicle fleet and staff to ensure effective, safe, and lawful operations.
You will need good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with parents and contractors.
You should be able to work as part of a team in a busy office environment. Be prepared to work with children and adults with various needs, treating everyone with dignity and respect. Ability to communicate effectively with parents and carers in a friendly and understanding manner is essential. Flexibility, motivation, following instructions, and calmness in emergencies are also required.
