Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates is recruiting an experienced Transport Supervisor in Liverpool to lead a small team of drivers and oversee a mixed vehicle fleet. You will drive improvements in delivery reliability, compliance, and efficiency across transport operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on transport experience, strong people management skills and a solid grasp of tachographs and Drivers' Hours regulations. Full driving licence and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within transport or logistics operations.
• Experience managing and supervising a team.
• Knowledge of tachograph systems and Drivers' Hours Regulations.
• Manufacturing experience
• A full, current driving licence.
• A practical, hands-on approach to managing daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting a team of five drivers.
• Planning and coordinating daily delivery routes.
• Ensuring compliance with Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
• Monitoring tachograph data and managing driver infringements.
• Overseeing vehicle inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinating MOTs, repairs and statutory vehicle inspections.
• Monitoring vehicle performance and telematics.
• Maintaining accurate fleet compliance records and documentation.
• Managing vehicle defect reporting and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
• Working closely with production and customer service teams to coordinate deliveries.
• Providing operational support within the warehouse when required.
• Assisting with vehicle loading and unloading where necessary.
• Maintaining the company's transport compliance systems and procedures.
